"Verse" is an observational documentary series I created from 2015 to 2017. This series forms a sister relationship with "Closer." While the "Closer" series emphasises the little things in life, "Verse" documents the daily lives of individuals or groups, who are usually friends with whom I have developed a strong rapport. As a result, our filming process was very natural, spontaneous and unembellished.

I wanted to showcase snapshots of different people's daily lives, whether they are defined as "ordinary people" or "strange people" in the broader society. These are all vibrant, individual lives, whether it's waking up to make breakfast, swimming by the lake, doing strength training at home, or embarking on a backpacking trip. Each person's verse should be written by themselves.
